This qualification aims to confirm occupational competence while equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, and understanding of spectator safety.

- prepare and maintain a stewarding team
- deal with problems, accidents and emergencies
- develop productive working relationships with colleagues at spectator events.
Course Content:
The Level 3 Certificate in Spectator Safety Supervision includes five mandatory units:
- Prepare stewards and venues for spectator events
- Manage and maintain stewarding in designated areas
- Manage information for action and decision-making for spectator events
- Develop and sustain productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Monitor and solve customer service problems
Assessment:
- Workplace Assessment – Learners must demonstrate competence by meeting required standards over time.
- Simulation – Assessment is based on workplace performance.
- Portfolio of Evidence – Learners must compile documentation showcasing their skills and knowledge.
- ACT Awareness E-learning – Completion of counter-terrorism awareness training.
- First Aid Training – Completion of a recognized first aid award
Progression:
Learners could progress to:
- Level 3 Extended Certificate in Spectator Safety Supervision.
Successful completion of this qualification will confirm your competence in a number of job roles focused on spectator safety at events, including:
- Senior Steward
- Assistant Ground Safety Officer
- Marshal
